The period of study for BAMS from current 5 and half to 6 years this will make the life's of choosing the field more and more difficult ,because once you have finished under graduation it difficult to practise without post graduation ,so in all when one finishes course it will be very difficult to get settled in life,on the contrary an engineering graduate or graduate in scinse could well settle in life with in this time ,it is a difficult choice to make in to days world to study ayurveda and the things make it more difficult if they intend to increase the study period ,the difficult part comes when one finishes the course ,he will expected to lead a life of upper class whereas in real world the compensation is not that encouraging especially in today world where India is the leading in percentage terms of wages ,keeping all this in mind the government has to set up rules so that they do not hurt the overall well being of the ayurvedic community.
